The Laparoscopic Training Centre currently provides a large range of skills training courses in laparoscopic general surgery and also training courses in a variety of other surgical specialties (e.g. endoscopy, urology, Gynae) at basic, intermediate and advanced levels. This course is aimed at surgeons who are aiming to become competent and reasonably confident in laparoscopic surgery.

The laparoscopic training course is designed to provide an introduction to safe surgical practice within a controlled workshop environment. It covers all essential minimal access surgery. The mission of the Centre is to provide high quality skills training to meet the learning requirements of international healthcare professionals within the surgical specialties. This intensive course is aimed at senior registrars and consultants who want to explore the different methods of Laparoscopic surgery.

The morning will be spent in Theatre observing live laparoscopic surgery. In the afternoon there will be discussions, reviews of surgical experience with peers, interaction with expert surgeons on technique followed by a practical session in our state-of-the-art laparoscopic skills lab. view more info
